Ghostwriting Services
Many people have stories to tell, but they do not have the experience to write it well. Other people are too busy to write their own stories. Still others have promised an essay or memoir to an editor, but don’t have the time to write it themselves. Some writers have been told to hire a “book doctor” to improve the quality of a novel. In all these cases, the services of a professional ghostwriter can help.
How does it work?
Prospective clients must first contact me with a description of their projects and any associated deadlines. You should note whether you have an existing contract with a publisher or editor, or whether you are writing on speculation. Once I’m aware of the specifics of your project, we will then discuss my availability and fee/contract.
At the end of the contract period, I will deliver a professionally written piece that meets the specifications outlined in the contract. Please note that I make no guarantees regarding publication, only about the quality of the writing itself and the fulfillment of requirements stated before the project begins. It is up to the client to properly market the work following completion.
Clients are expected to remain accessible during the entire writing period and to provide contact information for all people associated with the project. I generally require an outline, although the level of detail is negotiable. Any travel, research, or other expenses directly related to the ghostwriting project are the responsibility of the client.
Ghostwriting can be an expensive option given the time I must devote to your project. If you would rather do the writing yourself and instead hire me to go over each chapter as you write them, please contact me regarding private instruction.
